What is referencing?

References are a way of ensuring you are what you say you are, and can be the deciding factor as to whether or not you get the property. At Lanes Lettings all tenants are referenced in house, but at times an independant referencing company may be used.

Below are a few of the things that will be neded

• Employement history
• Landlord references
• Credit check
• 6 Months personal accounts (self employed)
• Photo ID
• 2 recent utility bills (proof of address)

It is important that you make aware your referees in advance to ensure they release this information to us.
